Richard B. Cheney, a distinguished public servant and businessman, is the vice president. Cheney is a recognizable figure in Washington throughout his time. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to Cheney, who he served. Bush announced the nomination of Cheney as his vice-presidential running partner in July of 2001. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom judgement, experience, and judgment. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for a president, served as an elected Member of Congress and was the secretary of defense. It's clear that he is a true gentleman and has earned the respect of both Republicans and Democrats. Cheney said that his job within the Bush administration is to be a transparent but disinterested advisor. Cheney accepted his role as Republican vice president that he hopes to be a president candidate who is willing to cooperate cross-partisanally and in a manner of good will and for a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30, 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been engaged to Richard Herbert Cheney for over thirty years. After 13 years of age, old, he emigrated along with his parents into Casper located in western state of Wyoming and his father directed the local soil conservation district in the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
